Incorporating interviews with influential directors Bijan Sheibani, Steven Berkoff and other key figures, this film traces the evolution of modern theatre from its Existentialist roots through Absurdism to Realism via the works of Ionesco, Beckett, Pinter and even the writers of Coronation Street.
