The topic of heat transfer includes specific heat capacity, equilibrium temperature, energy conservation (again based from the principles of module 6), latent heat, and heats of fusion and vaporization. The joule is introduced as a new unit of measure. As with the subject of 'work', module 6, heat transfer is important in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. It is an ever-present part of our lives with which everyone needs a working knowledge.
