Algeria is the second largest country in Africa after Sudan. In this program, hosts Esther Mills and Linda Sipprelle speak with Richard W. Erdman, the former American Ambassador to Algeria (2003 - 2006), who shares the challenges he faced as an Ambassador during his Algerian public outreach; also how he helped create the framework for the Bosnia/Croatian Court that helped to end that war. A career foreign service officer, who once served in the Peace Corps, Erdman has held many other important positions for the US State Department, including the Near Eastern Bureau's Director for Jordan, Lebanon, & Syria.
