STANDARD DEVIANTS SCHOOL PHYSICS MODULE 8: HEAT
Physics is hot, hot hot! The program start off with the concept of heat transfer -- you'll find out how much energy it takes to raise the temperature of a substance. Next, we'll discuss changes of state. How much heat does it take to change ice to water, or solid silver to a gas?' The topic of heat transfer includes specific heat capacity, equilibrium temperature, energy conservation (again based from the principles of module 6), latent heat, and heats of fusion and vaporization. The joule is introduced as a new unit of measure. As with the subject of 'work', module 6, heat transfer is important in Physics, Biology, and Chemistry. It is an ever-present part of our lives with which everyone needs a working knowledge.

Program consists of a single DVD as follows:

~ High quality DVD recording.
~ Clear presentations of concepts, formulas and how to solve problems.
~ Lively, quick-moving and entertaining.
