The average teen consumes a whopping 3,500 mg of salt every day, increasing the risks for high blood pressure, stroke and heart attack. Viewers learn how to decode nutritional labels, so they understand the many different names for sugar and for salt, and be able to identify hidden sugar and salt that lurk in packaged and processed foods.
