Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that is triggered by a terrifying event. Symptoms may include flashbacks, nightmares and severe anxiety, as well as uncontrollable thoughts about the event. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder is very common in today's society. When a trauma occurs a person often has a delayed reaction that can cripple them for years unless treated. This educational DVD discusses the causes, symptoms, and treatment of this disorder, and was also used as research for the movie "The Manchurian Candidate."
