THIS IS DANIEL COOK 2: AMAZING ART
Directed by J.J. Johnson

Daniel makes felt art, paints with watercolors, makes a self-portrait, draws a turtle, and makes a paper mache monster.

This series features seven-year old Daniel Cook. Well-mannered, inquisitive and intelligent Daniel explores the world around him through his own candid questions. Simple, pure, and honest, this is a series that allows children to view everything from Daniel's perspective, seeing what he sees and learning what he learns.

Each segment is six minutes long and they have been aggregated thematically into 13 half-hour episodes, each with 5 separate segments.

The five 6 minute segments in Amazing Art are:

1) THIS IS DANIEL COOK MAKING FELT ART- Daniel has been invited to join a local artist and create felt art. Daniel learns how to use a little bit of water to fuse different colorful pieces of felt together to create a picture.

2) THIS IS DANIEL COOK PAINTING WITH WATERCOLORS- Daniel learns how painting with watercolors can liven up a picture. Daniel sits down with an artist and sketches a picture using a pencil before adding watercolor paint to liven up his artwork.

3) THIS IS DANIEL COOK MAKING A SELF- PORTRAIT- Daniel meets an artist before sitting down in front of a mirror to paint his own portrait. Daniel learns how to mix different colors to get the color of his skin tone and how to use different paintbrushes for different effects.

4) THIS IS DANIEL COOK MAKING A PAPER MACHE MONSTER- Daniel joins a local artist to create his very own paper mache creation. Daniel learns how to mix flour, water and salt to make the paste for his paper mache monstrosity.

5) THIS IS DANIEL COOK DRAWING A TURTLE- Daniel joins Franklin illustrator Brenda Clark and learns how to draw turtles. Daniel watches Brenda draw before creating his own turtle picture. (Special Guest: Brenda Clark)
